GoSeeOregon
GoSeeTell approached Planet Argon to develop a framework for launching GoSeeOregon.com and Layoverinfo.com, which allows users to share their experiences of places to go, eat, sleep, and drink at.
Planet Argon was contracted to develop the initial public launch of both Layoverinfo.com and GoSeeOregon.com, which aims to bring people who love to travel together with other travelers to share their experiences and find new destinations to travel to in the future. The project aimed to provide a framework for a completely user-driven database of places to go, eat, sleep, and drink at. Along with this was the goal of providing a breeding ground for an emerging community of travelers that would share travel tips with one another. Another important goal was to provide a searching tool that would allow travelers to navigate to a specific destination (i.e., Portland, Oregon) and find places to eat, visit, etc., while there. Our team integrated Google maps and began the development of proximity-based searching so that a user could find places within a defined distance.
The website was re-branded and our team introduced the capability of having multiple sites that would focus on specific geographical regions, which is part of our client’s business plan for expanding their business.
